Bob Barker dies at the age of 99

Long-time game show host leaves behind a lifetime of memories

Los Angeles, California – Since the 1950s, Bob Barker has been the go-to guy for radio and television entertainment. Saturday morning, Barker died at the age of 99 in his Los Angeles home.

Today’s generation knows Barker as the host of, “The Price Is Right,” the longest-running host of the show. Barker hosted the Price Is Right for 35 years (1972-2007). Before hosting the Price Is Right, Barker was the host of another game show by the name of, “Truth Or Consequences,” from 1956-1975.

Barker was an avid animal rights activist reminding people to spay or neuter their dogs or cats. Barker even made a surprise appearance in the 1996 Adam Sandler movie, “Happy Gilmore.”
