Mayor coordinates with federal officials to address public anxiety over global security alerts.

SAN FRANCISCO , CA– In a video address released Wednesday, Mayor Daniel Lurie sought to calm public concern following recent reports of heightened security risks. The Mayor confirmed he has been in direct coordination with federal authorities and assured San Franciscans that there are currently no “imminent threats” facing the city.

The Mayor’s statement comes at a time of increased regional anxiety. Earlier this week, reports circulated regarding an FBI warning of potential foreign drone threats—a situation that has placed several major U.S. cities on high alert. Simultaneously, Californians are feeling the strain of “pain at the pump,” as gas prices in some areas have surged to $8 per gallon amid ongoing global turmoil.

In his address, Mayor Lurie emphasized that the city remains vigilant but urged residents to continue their daily lives without fear.

“I have been in constant contact with our federal partners,” Lurie stated in the video. “They have assured me that while we remain in a state of heightened awareness, there is no specific or imminent threat to the City of San Francisco.”

The Mayor’s proactive communication is seen as an effort to provide transparency and stability as the city navigates a complex period of economic and geopolitical challenges.
